Chautauqua County 4-H will be holding a Tractor and Farm Machinery Safety Certification Course for youth age 14 and older. The purpose of this course is to prevent injury and save lives. Any youth ages 14 or older is welcome to participate. Please note that if you are not a current 4-H member you will need to complete a 4-H enrollment form. To receive a certificate, a young person must complete 24 hours of instruction. This includes participation in classes (10 hours), home study & assignments (9 hours) and a practice driving day (5 hours) at local machinery dealerships for a total of 24 hours. Students need to bring a sack lunch all three days. Dennis Wright, retired Hewes BOCES Workforce Development Facilitator, will teach the course this year.

The first two workshops will take place at the JCC Carnahan Center. The third workshop is hands-on and will take place at your choice of dealerships: Larry Romance and Son in Sheridan or LandPro in Clymer. 

The cost of this course is $30.00 per participant. Checks can be made to "CCE"

Registration is due by Friday, March 20, 2020

Not 14 years old? You are welcome to come to the class but cannot participate in the hands-on portion. Please call the 4-H Office with questions at 716-664-9502 ext. 212.
