4-H Capital Days Application Due

Thank you for your interest in attending Capital Days! This exciting event will give you an inside look at the New York State Capital as well as the opportunity to meet with other 4-H Delegates from across the State.

Capital Days takes place May 19-22, 2019. 

In order to apply youth must be 14 years of age or older as of January 1, 2019 and be in good standing with 4-H. Youth need to have a photo ID.

Thanks to Tractor Supply Paper Clover funds the registration fee, transportation, and accommodation expenses are covered for 4-H youth and chaperones. Please plan on extra money for some meals and any souvenirs you may wish to purchase.

Youth must complete a cover letter, resume, and the application by April 10, 2019.

2019 Capital Days Application Packet

4-H Capital Days is a NYSACCE4-HE sponsored event that gives youth an opportunity to meet and interact with legislators and tell their 4-H story. 4-H Capital Days creates awareness of career opportunities in New York State government, better understand state government, and network with delegates from other counties. Delegates are chosen by their county 4-H program.

The objectives of the 4-H Capital Days program are:

To achieve a better understanding of the New York State policy process.
To gain a better understanding of state and local government connections.
To provide delegates the opportunity to meet with legislators and tell their 4-H stories.
To create an awareness of career opportunities within the New York State Government and Public Service.

To meet and exchange experiences with delegates from other counties.
