4-H Beef Project Annual Beef Classic Show

The Chautauqua County 4-H Beef Project is sponsoring their annual Junior steer and heifer show at the Chautauqua County fairgrounds, Central Ave, Dunkirk, NY.
This junior show is open to any junior exhibitors under 21 years of age. this show is designed as a prospect show and to give the exhibitors a chance to show their animals prior to county fairs.

ALL animals will be required to show an up-to-date CVI certificate in order to participate. Showmanship class is mandatory and will be divided by age. The exhibitor must use the same animal for all showmanship classes. Steers and heifers must be born after January 1st, 2022. All steers will be shown by weight.

Top monetary award amounts will depend on the number of entries. The overall Supreme Female award will receive an award from NYS Beef Producers and will be eligible to compete for Supreme Female at the New York State Fair.
Check in for the show will begin at 8:30am in the beef barn the day of the show. All animals must be on the grounds and checked in no later than 10:00am. Weigh in of steers will start at 10:00am in the beef barn.

The order of the show will be: Market steers, Heifer classes, Showmanship classes.

Entry fee is $30 per animal if postmarked no later than April 23rd, 2022. Showmanship entries will be an additional $5 to the entry fee. All entries after April 23rd will be $40 per animal. The show committee encourages you to enter by the deadline, but late entries will be accepted up until 10:00am the day of the show.

Exhibitors are responsible for their own bedding and clean up of their area after the show.
