4-H & FFA Youth Gain Show Skills in 2015 Beef Classic
JAMESTOWN, NEW YORK (May 20, 2015) -- Cornell Cooperative Extension Chautauqua County’s 4-H Youth Development Program is excited to announce the results from this year’s Chautauqua County Beef Classic Show held on Saturday, May 9, 2015.
All current 4-H Beef and FFA participants from across New York State were invited to participate in the competition held at the 4-H Arena on the Chautauqua County Fair Grounds. Danny Wolcott came from Silver Springs, NY to judge the competition. All entry fee monies collected were paid back out to participants as this show is meant to be a friendly opportunity for youth to gain experience in the show ring. A heifer is a female cow that has not yet had a calf; a steer is a castrated male animal.
