4-H Green Tie Affair Planning Underway

JAMESTOWN, NEW YORK (January 3, 2018) -- Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chautauqua County’s 4-H Youth Development Program is excited to announce additions to the 6th Annual Green Tie Affair on February 25, 2018 at the Chautauqua Suites.

The event boasts a large basket raffle and entertaining pie auction. This year’s event will feature a bake sale with items baked by 4-Hers, 4-H alum, and friends of 4-H. A silent cake auction will also take place featuring ten cakes baked and decorated by 4-Hers using skills they’ve learned in the project.

Tickets are now available from any 4-H member or at the 4-H office for $20.00. Ticket price increases to $25.00 after February 2nd. Guests receive entry to the event and a delicious meal prepared by the staff at the Chautauqua Suites with the purchase of a ticket.

Table sponsorships are also available for $200.00. Sponsors receive eight dinner tickets, eight tickets to the basket raffle, custom centerpiece sign, advertisement on the placemat, thank you banner, and in press about the event.

Last year nearly 700 members of the community came out in support of 4-H. Chautauqua County 4-H connects nearly 1,000 youth each year to hands-on learning opportunities that help them grow into competent, caring, contributing members of society. 4-H would like to thank the community for their support! The Green Tie Affair is essential for the continuation of 4-H programming in Chautauqua County in 2018.
