JAMESTOWN, NEW YORK (April 21, 2015) -- Cornell Cooperative Extension Chautauqua County’s 4-H Program is excited to announce that on Saturday, April 11, the 4-H Rabbit Program held their Spring Rabbit Show at the Tractor Supply store in Dunkirk, NY. Thirty-six 4-Hers attended and showed 69 rabbits representing 23 different breeds. During the show many people came into the store to talk with the kids and learn about their rabbits and the program. Caitlin Damoth of Romulus, NY judged the show.

Ms. Damoth picked a Dutch buck, owned by Kinsey Witherow, as the Best In Show rabbit, and a Polish buck, owned by Emily Brown as the Reserve In Show rabbit. The two winners were presented with show aprons embroidered with their winning titles.

The 4-H Rabbit Committee would like to thank Tractor Supply staff for moving the clothing from the front of the store so that the show could be visible to customers and for helping with many of the items needed throughout the day. The 4-H Rabbit Committee would also like to thank the parents who helped with the many tasks necessary to make the show a success.
