JAMESTOWN, NEW YORK (July 22, 2015) -- Cornell Cooperative Extension Chautauqua County welcome Kate Ewer as the new 4-H Community Educator. Kate grew up in Sugar Grove, Pennsylvania but was active in the Chautauqua County 4-H program for ten years, as a member of the Busti Shamrocks and the Goat Program. She received her Associates of Science in Individual Studies from Jamestown Community College in 2015 and in May graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Business Management from the State University of New York at Cobleskill. She now lives in Ashville and still raises a few Boer goats. Kate says “I’m thrilled to be working for the program that taught me so much as a youth.”

Kate has jumped in head first in the cusp of County Fair season. Emily Reynolds, former 4-H Educator now serves as the association’s Executive Director. Kate has assumed responsibility for the varied and diverse 4-H programming in Chautauqua County and is quickly learning the ins and outs of the programs to continue to improve youth development in Chautauqua County. Emily says “Kate has great excitement, experience and determination and we look forward to her input and service to Chautauqua County 4-H.”
