JAMESTOWN, NEW YORK (April 21, 2015) -- Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chautauqua County’s 4-H Youth Development Program is excited to announce its

49th Annual Conservation Field Days to be held May 27th and 28th at Lake Chautauqua Lutheran Camp.

Almost 900 Chautauqua County fifth grade students will be in attendance over the two-day period. Forty-three different experts will be teaching lessons related to conservation and the environment. Topics are varied, but include Forestry, the Water Cycle, Predator Prey Adaptations, Trapping, Bluebirds, and Wilderness Survival.

Students will go through seven twenty-minute, hands-on activities round-robin style. The setting allows many activities to be much more interesting to students, as they are able to touch trees, smell wildflowers, and explore nature.
