Evening in the Garden - August 21st 2019

Jamestown, NY, (July 23, 2019) - Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chautauqua County Master Gar-deners Program announce the August Evening in the Garden.

What should I do with all this produce? Has your vegetable garden taken off at last? How do you save all this produce to use this winter? Let the Master Gardeners of Chautauqua County give you some ideas at the Evening in the Garden for August, 21st at 6 pm.

Master Gardener and Master Food Preserver, Faith Carlson, will lead a discussion "Preserving the Har-vest”. Faith will teach you how to safely preserve your abundance! Also, Steve Rees will demonstrate composting, using the three bin method used at the Demonstration Garden. What to add to compost, and what not to include are very important to your successful compost. The Demonstration Garden committee of the Master Gardeners will also be at the event to answer gardening questions and to discuss the different raised beds they manage in the garden.

The Evening in the Garden event is free and will be held at the Frank Bratt Agricultural Center, 3542 Turner Road, Jamestown, NY 14701.
