JAMESTOWN, NEW YORK (July 13, 2017) – Come! Rain or shine the Master Gardeners of Chautauqua County Cornell University Cooperative Extension will present Evening in the Garden on Wednesday, July 19th at 6 pm in the Demonstration Garden at the Frank Bratt Ag Center, 3542 Turner Road, Jamestown. Master Gardeners will be there to discuss gardening questions with you. Jim Cowan, a Master Gardener, will discuss garden diseases and what to look for - and how to combat diseases in your vegetable garden. MG Peggy Fitzgibbon will discuss long term effects of biochar. You can view two identical beds - one with biochar and one without. Master Gardener Reg Boutwell will talk about planting your garden all summer long - when is it too late to plant??? Master Gardeners welcome the community to view our demonstration garden and what we're doing to ward off rabbits and other "non-helpful" garden raiders. Rain or shine, we'll see you at 6 pm on July 19th.
