Farmers Invited to Tour Robotic Milking System

Cornell Cooperative Extension to host educational tour for farmers

interested in robotic milking systems

SOUTHWEST, NEW YORK (June 28th, 2022) The interest and adoption of Robotic Milking Systems (RMS) are increasing, mainly due to increased labor costs and interest in improving technology use and flexibility in farming. However, transitioning to RMS is a significant investment, and many questions should be asked to understand better if this system fits your dairy operation. SWNY Dairy, Livestock, and Field Crops Program, in partnership with CCE Chautauqua, is organizing a Robotic Milking System Farm Tour for any dairy farmers interested in learning more about this system.

Host Farm, Frontier Brook Farm, currently milks 200 cows with 4 Lely robots. Come tour the farm, talk about managing cows under a robotic milking system, enjoy lunch, socialize with other farmers, and learn from each other.
