Master Gardeners Final Evening in the Garden for 2018

JAMESTOWN, NEW YORK (September 7, 2018) – Does a garden need preparation for its long winter nap? Sure it does, and you'll find out what to do to prepare your garden for winter from Master Gardener, Jim Cowan. Jim will explain different methods for keeping your garden healthy over the winter at the final Evening in the Garden to be held on Wednesday September 19th at 6:00 pm in the Demonstration Garden of the Ag Center. The Frank Bratt Ag Center is located on 3542 Turner Road, Jamestown. Also on the evening's agenda will be a discussion on saving seeds by Master Gardener, Suzanne Bloom. Finally there will be a demonstration on growing leeks in the home garden - different methods for different types of leeks. The Master Gardeners always welcome your questions concerning your home gardens, and even though it's late in the gardening season, you may already have questions for next spring's planting. Evening in the Garden nights will resume next May following this final event for 2018.
