Temporary Changes for the Master Gardener Help Desk

Jamestown, NY (March 31, 2020) - Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chautauqua County Master Gardener Help Desk will not be opening at JCC as expected for in-person assistance with gardening questions. Instead Master Gardeners can be reached for gardening help in two ways. Beginning April 1, 2020, you can call the Master Gardeners at 716-664-9502 ext. 224 and leave a message or you may send an email to chautauquamg@cornell.edu. Either way, someone will get back to you, to answer your questions. If you have a question about a plant or insect identification, it would be helpful if you could attach a picture of what you would like to identify, and that would be a very useful starting point. Social distancing may keep us from face to face gardening, but it's still a good time to get your seedlings started, your cool crops planted and enjoy the fresh garden air.

The Master Gardener Program is one of many programs offered by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chautauqua County (CCE-Chautauqua). CCE-Chautauqua is a subordinate governmental agency with an educational mission that operates under a form of organization and administration approved by Cornell University as agent for the State of New York. It is tax-exempt under section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The association is part of the na-tional cooperative extension system, an educational partnership between County, State, and Federal governments. As New York’s land grant university Cornell administers the system in this state. Each Cornell Cooperative Extension association is an independent employer that is governed by an elected Board of Directors with general oversight from Cornell. All associations work to meet the needs of the counties in which they are located as well as state and national goals. For more information, call 716-664-9502 or visit our website at: www.cce.cornell.edu/chautauqua . Cornell Uni-versity Cooperative Extension provides equal program and employment opportunities.
