JCC Carnahan Building 6:00pm-8:00pm

Many beginning farmers and homesteaders have limited access to vet care and it is important to know how to care for your animals when things go wrong. This workshop will cover many of the basics for a beginning or small farmer, including items to have on hand in your “tool kit”, signs of illness, a discussion on when to call the vet, information on local vets, and how to measure key vital signs. Join New York State Veterinarian, Dr. Shannon Carpenter, who has many years of experience with livestock animal operations and has previously worked as a private veterinarian
