Master Gardener Workshop: Make your Own Natural Bird Suet

  • Monday, February 12, 2024, 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM

Participants will get to make their own bird suet to take home. Master Gardeners will be available for questions and provide recommendations on trees and shrubs to support wildlife.

Birds are extremely important to our ecosystem and integrated into our food web. Birds eat insects. They are a natural way to control pests in gardens and farms. Nectar-feeding birds are important pollinators, meaning they move the pollen from flower to flower to help create new plants. Many fruit-eating birds help disperse seeds. After eating fruit, they carry the seeds and deposit them in new places.

Please note, this workshop is in-person only at CEE Cattaraugus 28 Parkside Drive Ellicottville. Chautauqua County residents are welcome! Preregistration is required.
