4-H Animal Science Educator

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chautauqua County has an opening for a Youth Development Educator working from the Jamestown office. The 4-H Educator serves as a member of the 4-H Youth Development team to assist with planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of the 4-H Youth Development animal science programs. Educator will be responsible for promoting program objectives and plans in all areas of 4-H Youth Development programming with emphasis on Livestock (Beef, Sheep, Swine), Dairy, Poultry, Rabbits, Goats, Dog, Horse, and Tractor and Farm Safety. A master’s degree is preferred but a bachelor’s degree with 4 years’ related experience may substitute for consideration for this full-time position. The salary range is $21.00 – 23.00/per hour.

Natural Resources Educator 

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chautauqua County has an opening for a Natural Resources Educator working from the Jamestown office. The natural resources educator will serve as a member of the Chautauqua County CCE Agriculture staff to assist with implementation, evaluation and coordination of natural resource and agriculture educational programs and activities in the county. The educator will specifically be providing education on gardening, sustainable agriculture, and other natural resource topics. Educator will also provide program coordination and support to the consumer Agriculture program and facilitate the dissemination of agriculture information to the residents of Chautauqua County utilizing trained volunteer corps and as primary contact and coordinator for the Master Gardener Volunteer and Master Food Preserver programs. A bachelor’s degree is preferred but an associate degree with 2 years’ related experience may substitute for consideration for this full-time position.
