4-H Youth Development Educator

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chautauqua County has an opening for a 4-H Youth Development Educator working from the Jamestown office. The 4-H Educator will serve as a member of the 4-H Youth Development team to assist with implementation and evaluation of the 4-H Youth Development educational programs and activities.

The educator will be responsible for promoting program objectives and plans in the 4-H Youth Development programming area with emphasis on 4-H Spark programming – non-traditional 4-H programming at schools, afterschool programs, and youth-serving organizations and providing established programming under the BOCES Co-Ser.

The educator will coordinate and deliver established curriculum with the aim of fostering awareness, understanding, and appreciation of how we produce food and fiber, what we eat, and how we live by helping teachers, students, and their communities learn about and engage with agriculture, the natural environment, and food systems.

A bachelor’s degree is preferred but an associate degree with 2 years’ related experience may substitute for consideration for this part-time position. The salary range is $18.00 – 21.00/per hour.

Agricultural Team Leader

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chautauqua County has an opening for an Agriculture Team Leader working on-site from the Jamestown office. CCE is seeking a dynamic leader to assist with daily functioning of the Association, responsible for providing leadership in assessment, development, planning, delivery and evaluation of agriculture educational programming. The Team Leader will also assist in the Executive Director’s absence to plan for the overall administration of the Association and provide continuity of leadership. A master’s degree with a minimum of 2 years’ related experience, and agricultural experience is required for this full-time position. The salary range is $63,000 - $65,000 based on knowledge, skills, experience, and abilities.
