Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chautauqua County has an opening for a Youth Development Educator working from the Jamestown office. The 4-H Educator serves as a member of the 4-H Youth Development team to assist with planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of the 4-H Youth Development animal science programs. Educator will be responsible for promoting program objectives and plans in all areas of 4-H Youth Development programming with emphasis on Livestock (Beef, Sheep, Swine), Poultry, Rabbits, Goats, Dog, Horse, and Tractor and Farm Safety. A master’s degree is preferred but a bachelor’s degree with 4 years’ related experience may substitute for consideration for this full-time position. The salary range is $21.00 – 23.00/per hour.

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chautauqua County has an opening for a Nutrition Educator working from the Jamestown office to serve the resident of Chautauqua County. The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP-ED) Nutrition Education and Obesity Prevention Lead Nutritionist will primarily provide input into planning for, and conducting implementation of, public education to improve healthy food and lifestyle choices among families and individuals encompassing all age groups throughout the South Western SNAP-ED Region (Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua Counties) and specifically focused on Chautauqua County. This position will also assist in program development, evaluation, management, and marketing efforts for SNAP-ED programming in the region. This is a 1.0FTE grant-funded position. Funding for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP-ED-Ed) program is through the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and administered by the Office of Temporary Disability and Assistance (OTDA). A master’s degree is preferred but a bachelor’s degree with 4 years’ related experience may substitute for consideration for this full-time position.
