4-H Youth Development Educator 

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chautauqua County has an opening for a 4-H Youth Development Educator working from the Jamestown office. The 4-H educator will serve as a member of the 4-H Youth Development team to assist with implementation and evaluation of the 4-H Youth Development educational programs and activities. The educator will be responsible for promoting program objectives and plans in 4-H Youth Development programming area with emphasis on single event 4-H activities, afterschool, and countywide youth programming at libraries, and with partners including Agriculture in the Classroom. In addition, the educator will coordinate and deliver established Agriculture in the Classroom curriculum with the aim of fostering awareness, understanding, and appreciation of how we produce food and fiber, what we eat, and how we live by helping teachers, students, and their communities learn about and engage with agriculture and food systems. Deliver established curriculum to help youth understand the connections between agriculture, the environment, and people. Assist with the evaluation of delivery of the established educational program goals. Interact with the public through classroom presentations. Assist Supervisor with activities to foster the program with community leaders. A bachelor’s degree is preferred but an associate degree with 2 years’ related experience may substitute for consideration for this full-time position. The salary range is $19.00 – 21.00/per hour.

Nutrition Counselor 

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chautauqua County has an opening for a Nutrition Counselor working from the Jamestown office to serve the residents of Chautauqua County. This position will primarily be responsible for delivery of nutrition counseling services and public education programming to improve healthy food and lifestyle choices among families and individuals encompassing all age groups throughout eligible county residents. A master’s degree as well as a registered Dietitian (RD) or Certified Dietitian/Nutritionist (CDN) certification are required for this full-time position. Applications are being accepted until June 3, 2025. The salary range is $25.00 – 30.00/per hour
