LEAF: Trail Safety

  • Tuesday, June 4, 2024, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Here in the rolling hills and forests of the southern tier of Western N.Y. and our neighboring counties of Pennsylvania, we are blessed to enjoy extensive systems of multi-use trails. Hikers, bikers, runners, dog walkers, horseback riders and others all use these trails, and during the winter months we may be joined by cross country skiers and snowmobiles.

The Friends of the Chautauqua County Greenways invite you to join us in a discussion about trail safety. We will discuss the Safety Triangle signs that you will sometimes see along the trails as well as what “Go Slow and Say Hello” means for trail safety and trail etiquette.

Snacks and drinks will be available as we bring together different trail user groups to communicate with one another about how to interact safely so we can all have a fun and safe time on our trails!
