2020 LERGP Winter Growers’ Conference Rescheduled

LERGP 2020 Winter Growers’ Conference Rescheduled

JAMESTOWN, NEW YORK (March 13, 2020) -- Out of an abundance of caution and at the direction of Cornell, Penn State, and SUNY Fredonia Universities the Lake Erie Regional Grape Program has rescheduled their 2020 Winter Growers’ Conference. This conference was to have been held on Thursday, March 19th at the Williams Center on the SUNY Fredonia campus. Registrants, speakers and vendors have been notified of the change. Currently the plan will be to have the conference rescheduled to this summer, August 12th and 13th as a two day conference. The plan will be to hold one day at the Williams Center and one day at the Cornell Lake Erie Research and Extension Laboratory in Portland, NY.

The LERGP offers sincere apologies for any inconvenience this poses. They along with Cornell University feel it is important to take these proactive steps to minimize future community spread of COVID-19. Just as a reminder, this is a very dynamic situation and Cornell and Penn State Universities would encourage you to keep all lines of communication open, continue to check your mail, email, and other sources of communication so that you can be sure to have the most up to date information regarding meetings and other educational events.

The Lake Erie Regional Grape Program is a cooperative effort between Cornell and Penn State Universities; the participating Cornell Cooperative Extension Associations of Chautauqua, Erie, Niagara and Cattaraugus Counties in New York and Erie County in Pennsylvania; and participating industry partners National Grape Cooperative (Welch’s), Constellation Brands and Walkers Fruit Basket.
