4-H Member Participation Record


In an effort to encourage all youth who participate in 4-H, effective October 1, 2023, youth who are enrolled in 4-H are required to complete 3 out of 13 possible credits within the 4-H year in order to remain an active member of Chautauqua County 4-H. Credits will be tracked via 4-H participation check off which is due with your record book on September 15th of every year. If these are already done at the club level, there is no need to do these twice.
Any documentation may be submitted throughout the year for Lone Members to Lindsey at the 4-H office.
Credit options include:
• Re-Enroll by November 1st
• Attend a Lone Member Meeting
• Attend Awards Night (Awards night 2023 may be used for 2024 requirements)
• Completing three hours of community service and documenting it with the 4-H Office
• Complete a presentation at Countywide Presentation Day, fair, or at project meeting
• Participate in the Fall Fundraiser
• Contribute to the 4-H Green Tie Affair
• Work 4 hours in the Snack Bar
• Submit one project to the 4-H Building at the Fair
• Attend a Countywide project/meeting
• Attend a L.E.A.F Jr. Workshop
• Participate in Teen Ambassadors
• Opt out of ONE of these for $20
Please Note: College age participants ONLY, just need to submit an opt-out letter to the 4-H office to be exempt from the requirements. All cloverbuds have the option.

As Lone Members 4-H youth do not have a designated "Leader" to turn in their requirements check off. All Lone Member completed work should be completed by 4-Her, signed off by 4-H Educator. to receive credit for the 4-H year. Failure to do so may result in ineligibility for the next 4-H year.
